## Collector note
The NEO SD PRO AES, particularly associated with the legendary SNK fighting games like *King of Fighters* and *Fatal Fury*, holds significant appeal for collectors due to its limited production and the nostalgia surrounding the Neo Geo brand, which was prominent in the 1990s arcade scene. This brand-new unit is especially desirable as collectors value pristine condition items, and the inclusion of the original packaging and manual enhances its status. Given that the Neo Geo has a reputation for higher price points in the Japanese collector market, this auction price of ¥249,999 is consistent with the rarity and sought-after nature of the hardware. Collectors typically appreciate the authenticity that comes from Japan, where these items were originally produced and stored, maintaining their value over time.
