Its condition, with some damage, reflects the passage of time which is often a point of interest rather than a detractor for dedicated aficionados of antique weaponry. Genuine Edo period pieces are increasingly rare, especially when sourced directly from Japan, further increasing their appeal and value in the collectors' market. The current bidding price of ¥230,000 is consistent with well-preserved examples from this era, emphasizing the authenticity and cultural importance that collectors seek. ## Images - https://auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/dr000/auc0204/user/62b6a364881470c754f8bcb985816b2a329977be7868732e6add53c8496fd9b5/i-img573x860-17763103141291pyhgcq182329.jpg ## Links - View on Rinkya: https://www.rinkya.com/discover/item/rust-paint-face-guard-with-fixed-small-plates-edo-period-iron-rust-pai-n1226733575 - Find live items like this: https://www.rinkya.com/discover/live --- Rinkya is a proxy bidding & shopping service for buyers outside Japan.
