## Collector note
Sanrio collaborative lunch bags represent a niche segment where character licensing, functional design, and scarcity converge—particularly when dual-character editions (My Melody and Hello Kitty) appear in limited domestic Japan releases. The aluminum insulation construction and backpack-style integration suggest a mid-2010s product line with modest production runs, making unused examples valuable to both functional collectors and Sanrio completists. Mint condition Japanese-market Sanrio housewares from licensing partnerships typically command premium prices because reissues are infrequent and original tooling often doesn't justify reprinting; the 499,999 JPY estimate reflects rarity rather than novelty.
