## Collector note
The Selmer Treble 'n' Bass guitar amplifier head from the 1960s represents a significant piece of British music history, renowned for its rich tonal quality and unique design, which merges vintage aesthetics with functional performance. The inclusion of original Mullard tubes enhances its appeal, as collectors often seek components that retain authenticity and provenance, particularly from iconic eras of musical innovation. Given its operational issues and visible wear, this amplifier stands as a testament to its age; thus, understanding its condition is crucial to assessing its value within the collector marketplace. Prices around ¥284,000 reflect a reasonable expectation for vintage tube amplifiers in Japan, especially considering the rarity of this particular model and the demand for quality British sound equipment among enthusiasts.
