## Collector note
The 2007 Hobby Complex Battra larva represents a pivotal moment in Japanese soft vinyl collecting—a retail exclusive that captured peak 90s Toho kaiju toy aesthetics through early-2000s manufacturing. Battra figures hold particular cachet because the character's theatrical lifespan was brief (1992–1993), making post-film releases like this inherently collectible as secondary-market interpretations. The dual clear-glitter finish (black and blue variants) reflects Hobby Complex's signature approach to limited runs: modest production numbers, color experimentation, and domestic-only distribution that rarely saw Western distribution. Used condition is normative for pieces this age and rarity tier; the stated wear is typical for 17-year-old soft vinyl and rarely impacts collector desirability if the sculpt and paint detail remain intact.
