## Description
This original item was created by repurposing mint set cases.

It uses 1mm thick black cardboard as a base with holes cut out to match the diameter of the coins.

The second photo shows an example of storage. Please be aware that the coins shown in the second photo are NOT included.

This listing is for the case only.

The mint set case has a strong effect on blocking external air, helping to maintain the coins in their current condition for a long time.

Also, the coins stored do not move inside, preventing any scratches.

Please refer to the second photo for an example of storage.

Since opening and closing the mint set case requires a bit of technique, for those unfamiliar, dedicated mini screwdrivers and instruction manuals for opening and closing are also available for immediate purchase. Please take a look.

## Collector note
This limited edition storage case for current 1 yen coins represents a thoughtful repurposing of mint set cases, reflecting the meticulous approach that Japanese collectors often prefer for preserving their pieces. The 1mm thick black cardboard effectively protects coins from air and movement, enhancing their long-term condition—an essential factor for serious numismatists. Given Japan's unique relationship to its currency and the aesthetic value placed on such storage solutions, this item is likely to appeal to collectors looking for authentic and functional displays. The current bid of ¥870 aligns well with market trends for specialized storage options in Japan, which typically command higher prices due to their craftsmanship and rarity.
