## Collector note
This set of original animation cels from Studio Ghibli's iconic *Princess Mononoke* is a significant piece for collectors, as the film played a pivotal role in shaping the modern anime landscape since its release in 1997. Cels from this film, particularly those featuring prominent characters like Ashitaka and San, are highly sought after for their artistic value and the nostalgia they evoke. Given the noted paint stains and used condition, the value reflects the historical relevance rather than pristine aesthetics, making it an authentic representation of Ghibli's production methods. With current bids reaching ¥1,800,000, this item sits at a premium, indicative of the strong collector demand within the Japanese market for early-run animation art.
