Purchased back when it was released as part of a group buy with friends. This series, Set A, has an extremely low pull rate, making it highly sought after among collectors, and this particular card is the only one that appeared from Set A. I couldn’t believe I pulled an idol card! At the time, I thought it was some kind of error. ## Collector note This unopened 2001 Godzilla Mothra King Ghidorah Clear Card Set A is a remarkable find for enthusiasts of this iconic franchise, particularly given its extremely low pull rate and the emergence of a rare idol card. Produced in Japan, these cards were crafted during a peak in Godzilla's popularity, following the series' revival in the late 90s, and carry the distinct design aesthetics of Akira Nakayama, a respected figure in collectible art. Collector demand remains strong for items from this era, especially when in mint condition, as authentic, unopened pieces like this one are increasingly rare and represent a pivotal moment in kaiju merchandise history. The current auction price reflects the premium collectors are willing to pay for such scarcity, emphasizing its solid position in the Japanese collectible market. ## Images - https://auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/dr000/auc0203/user/abf70e2f655c0413772ac0d3e8a505c85627ef1ec8da534201e9fa722b12aaaf/i-img674x1200-17734985477375lffplq363176.jpg ## Links - View on Rinkya: https://www.rinkya.com/discover/item/super-rare-must-see-card-brand-new-unopened-2001-godzilla-mothra-king-m1222947350 - Find live items like this: https://www.rinkya.com/discover/live --- Rinkya is a proxy bidding & shopping service for buyers outside Japan.
